Home  The opening ceremony for the 71st VAVRS Convention was held on September 21 at the new Virginia Beach Convention Center. The Honorable Mayor Meyera Oberndorf welcomed the volunteers to the City of Virginia Beach. The Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad opened the ceremony by presenting colors. 1
