The E.V. Williams Memorial Building

In recognition of E.V. Williams and his generosity, the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad named our Station 14 building in his memory.

Mr. Williams grew to know and admire the work of the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad through his cousin, Julie MackKinlay, a life member of Squad 14. Through her commitment to the Squad, he developed a strong and loyal support for their mission.

With his death in 2003, he left an estate devoted to the community efforts and charities that he valued during his lifetime. For this reason, Rescue 14 wishes to memorialize his ideals by naming their building after him in the "spirit of volunteerism".
