A dedication ceremony was held on April 19 for the the cities new 911 Emergency Communications Center and Emergency Operations Center (ECC/EOC). The new 26,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility located at the Municipal Center allows emergency responders to better protect the citizens of Virginia Beach with state-of-the-art technology and enhanced operations and training areas. The building features an expanded 9-1-1 operations floor, communication equipment room, and an enhanced dedicated EOC. In addition the facility will house the new 311 information center.

Rescue 14's honor guard joined with members of the Virginia Beach Police and Fire Department's honor guards to present the colors.
