May 18, 2006 - City of Virginia Beach EMS Service Awards Ceremony

The 2006 City of Virginia Beach EMS Service Awards Ceremony was held on May 18, 2006 at the Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Academy, Seven members of the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad were honored for outstanding service to the community.

A Medal of Merit was awarded to Rescue 14 volunteers Jack Dye, Rick Flack, Judy Jackson, Ann Morse and Summer Pruette.

Rescue 14 volunteer Amanda Caviness was named the Pre-hospital Care Provider of the Year and her husband Jack Caviness received a Certificate of Commendation.

Jack Dye was also honored for 30 years of service.

John Irish, Bill Kiley and Roy Tydings were honored for 25 years of service.

Ernest N. Allen, Wally Ching and Doctor Stewart Martin were honored for 20 years of service.

Scott Kalis, Lisa Hamaker, Michael Lapinski and Donald Washburn were honored for 15 years of service.

Jim Heartwell, Winnie Musa, Sherry Talbert and Danielle Tejchman were honored for 5 years of service.
