Last Flight of U.S. Navy F14 Tomcat
 

The last official flight of the U.S. Navy F14 Tomcat departed from the Naval Air Station Oceana today.

Under a beautiful blue sky with 3,000 guest in attendance Virginia Beach Mayor Meyera Oberndorf declared today as "Tomcat Day". After 36 years of service the F14 Tomcat is officially retired.

Rescue 14 volunteers Bobby Hill and Sylvia Russell in unit 1422 along with Navy ambulance 42 were on the flight line providing standby medical coverage doing today's event.
