February 1st, a busy day in the city. 


Rescue 14 [third due] was dispatched to assist Rescue 16 with a cardiac east bound on Interstate 264 near the old toll plaza. Both of Rescue 16's volunteer crews were out on calls as well as Rescue 9's volunteer crews.

BLS unit 1423, along with zone 9 [career medic], Engine 9 and Ladder 16 were given the assignment. The patient was transported to Sentara Beach ER for treatment.

At Beach ER we ran into a few of our volunteer brothers and sisters from Rescue 1, 5, and 16.
