On December 6, 2007 at Assault Craft Unit Four Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia Beach, VA, Chief Firecontrolman Raymond G. Ford, Jr. United States Navy retired after 24 years in service to his country.

The Honorable Meyera Oberndorf Mayor of Virginia Beach was the guess speaker at Ray Ford's ceremony.

Ray is a volunteer paramedic with the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad. His wife Lucie is also a volunteer paramedic and Ray's father Ray Ford Sr is an admin member of the rescue squad.
