Dear Neighbor:
It’s time for a salute!
On the occasion of our 58th anniversary, it’s time to
salute the men and women of your Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, who are on the
front line, providing free, pre-hospital emergency medical care to you and
to your neighbors, every day of every year.
Did you know that the City of Virginia Beach is the largest city in the
country served by an all-volunteer rescue system? Last year, in fact,
our all-volunteer squads saved the city an estimated $9 million dollars.
And, as you know, every bit of emergency medical care we offer is free. But
we can’t do it without your help. With this letter, twice a year, our
squad comes directly to you, to ask for your support for our services.
In addition to our Oceanfront station, we have just opened a new, state of
art station in the Great Neck area. It is located on Bayne Dr. to better
serve the citizens in the Great Neck area. Please stop by and visit with us
at our new station. We are very proud of this accomplishment.
We hope that you didn’t need our emergency assistance last year. But if you
did, you know that we arrived promptly, bringing appropriate medical
expertise. We’re proud, with your help, to continue the Virginia Beach
Volunteer Rescue Squad’s 57 year tradition of saving lives. If you are
interested in volunteering your time (either operational ~ medical related
or administrative),

We appreciate your support in years past. Please send your check in today’s
mail,
or
use your MasterCard or Visa,
and support the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad – just as we are
always on hand to support you, in times of need.
Sincerely,
Thomas Harp, Jr., Chief
