The Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad has been providing free pre-hospital emergency medical care to the Citizens and visitors of the City of Virginia Beach since 1952.

We have some of the best-trained volunteers and the finest instructors anywhere in the country.

New members are the lifeblood of our organization.

Our mentoring program supports and guides new members as they work their way up the ladder of success.

Members are provided uniforms and jackets.

On rescue squad meeting night's dinner is provided to all members in attendance.

We contribute to the Volunteer Firefighter & Rescue Squad Workers Service Award Fund [VOLSAP] on behalf of each member of our squad.

We will assist with babysitting cost while on rescue squad duty.

We support the families of members through social functions such as children's parties, family picnics.

Facilities:

The Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad is the only volunteer squad in the City of Virginia Beach that does not operate out of a fire station.

Our multi-million dollar headquarters known as "Rescue 14" is located at 740 Virginia Beach Blvd. This state of the art facility has been made possible through contributions and support from our community. This facility is manned 24 hours a day.

In addition to our main headquarters, we operate one ALS ambulance from a satellite site, Rescue 8 located at 1201 Bayne Drive.
